This course provides students with an overview and components relating to ICT technology and functions including the management of ICT for a particular organisational context.
On successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Critically evaluate the role and impact of a range of ICT strategies including their likely success in achieving a specified business strategy.
2. Analyse the strategic importance of information and information technology management within a range of organisations.
3. Critically determine and evaluate developmental stages in IT strategies for an organisation including transformation of an organisation from its vision to infrastructure.
4. Compare and contrast a range of roles and competencies and skills frameworks within the IT sector.
5. Critically discuss security, ethics and corporate social responsibility in the management of ICT.
