Welcome to the CeLDD Demonstration course.
(Check out the new CeLDD Marketing website).

The Certificate in e-Learning Design and Development (CeLDD) is now available as a NorthTec qualification with the first cohort of enrolment beginning on 1 November 2006. CeLDD is an entry-level (Level 4) programme that will develop competence in the knowledge and skills required to create effective and engaging e-learning environments in a variety of settings - including tertiary institutions, private training providers, schools, business, industry and the public sector.

CeLDD realises that games (amongst other emerging technologies) are an important feature of learning for today's students. You can find out more about the learning philosophy of CeLDD in the animation below. Use the wizard's wand to explore his world. Click on things to make stuff happen. Learning is about discovery, connecting, and engaging....

If you want to skip the exploration please go direct to the FAQ page or email the CeLDD enquiry desk for more details.

About CeLDD

CeLDD is designed along the lines of a quest or journey in three stages.

Learners complete tasks (challenges) as they develop increasing competence in the skills of e-learning design and development.

The quest is depicted on the CeLDD map along with the 13 challenges. Click on each challenge for more information about that challenge.

The approach is interactive and based on the idea that learning is about exploring, engaging and doing.

By completing the quest you will learn how to use Moodle to design and develop your own e-learning course. You will also learn about new social software or 'web 2.0' tools and how to use these to engage today's learners.
